MIXED RESULTS

I received a Christmas card in mid-January that was mailed from Florida in mid-December so I recognize there are problems somewhere in the postal system but it isn’t universal. Today I received a letter at my Garnet Valley address mailed yesterday in Delaware. The pandemic has obviously hit some areas and employers differently. By the way, today’s mail came in the middle of the snow and ice storm! Well done and thanks to our front-line carriers.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Just received my tax bills from Delco — went up a little over $100 and Ridley Township went up $230. For the money I am not getting any more services. For Ridley Township in Leedom Estates they need to start to clean it up, starting with the Philadelphia school district van that has been sitting in front of my house for at least three months. I am on fixed income and may need to move. Pass an earned income tax.

SAVE US SENIORS!

BACK TO SCHOOL

Thank you to Bob Whitehead for his opinion that Radnor students deserve to return to the classroom. I am in full agreement that the teachers’ unwillingness to return to school even in the face of science is a true insult to the essential workers who have supplied them with services during this pandemic. It is now the teachers turn to step up to the plate and educate our students in person! Catholic and private schools have been doing this since September.

BEYOND BELIEF

It’s unbelievable that Trump received a slap on the wrist for the insurrection. Were any of you aware that he was already planning a second incident to take place in March? We will be taking note of all who voted in his favor and do our best to make sure they are booted out of office. We do not need cowards running the country. Here`s hoping no legislators are attacked in march.

SMH

HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN?

To “Where’s My Vaccine?,” “Make Me Sick” and “Cry Cabbage,” I hear you. I’m considered high risk and can’t make an appointment but a friend’s kids (20s and 30s) have gotten both shots thru their work. This is ridiculous!

GOODBYE JOE

I think I am going to scream if I see Joe Namath’s face one more time for Medicare advertisements. Have mercy and vote to get Joe off the air!

JUDY

PHONY BALONEY

All you liberals are a bunch of phonies. In your marches and Black Lives Matters protests you call for unity, but yet I go on Facebook today and the cartoons and what you said about Rush Limbaugh is a total disgrace. You’re nothing but a bunch of phonies. I am so proud to be a Republican and not a liberal who pretends to want unity. But then you print you’ve nasty stuff on Facebook about him. You’re a disgusting group of people.

HOW SYMBOLIC

Seeing that Trump Plaza go down today in the demolition kind of reminded me of the Trump presidency. You know, it went down the same way. Just one flat mess, and I’m glad it’s over.

MIKE IN ASTON

SPEAK UP

The column Chris Freind wrote Wednesday, Feb. 17, about the cancel culture hit the nail right on the head. This has become out of hand. What happened to free speech? People better stand up to these losers before it’s too late. Hit them in the back pockets where it hurts. I hope people complained about the way the National Anthem was sung at the Super Bowl.

JACK FROM SPRINGFIELD

FOCUS ON AMERICA

I’d like to Sound Off about watching Joe Biden’s town hall meeting from I believe it was Milwaukee, Wisc., the other night. He’s a crystal clear and focused on the things for America — the COVID-19 relief, the vaccinations, getting the economy pumped back up again. And today I saw on the news his approval rating is 62%. God bless Joe Biden.
